 So this is my little girl on another site, her name is Aeylin and she's a total witch though really inside she's just so confused and lost and she feels so alone so that's how she acts towards others. She's afraid of getting hurt and feels like the world just doesn't fit her like she's an "alien" kinda haha. So I put her on a purple planet, what do you guys think? And if you're just gonna bash it don't even post please x3 but I won't bite to those of you who actually use constructive criticism on the image.  Everything [but bashing] is welcome! |

I hope you don't mind me critiquing this... :3
The first thing I would say sticks out to me is the mane and tail. They are a bit too fluffy and are oversmudged. When smudging hair, always use a small brush and follow the direction of the hair. A few tutorials you may find useful can be found here and here.
The cutting is actually pretty good, if a little choppy in some places. When smudging the horse, try to smudge out from the edges, because if you smudge in, a white outline can form. [:
The eye is nice, but could use some work. You have a good general idea of what the eye should look like. Some tutorials I could reccommend are this one and this one.
When you're merging two backgrounds, try to make them blend a bit more. Next time, I would suggest choosing an ocean stock that has a straight line, instead of waves. [:
And... I think that's it. It's a pretty manip overall, it just needs some work. ^_^ |

Yes, it was my first attempt at making my own mane and tail so it's a bit over fluffy and terrible I agree.
I actually didn't smudge the horse but might just be because I think I re-sized this a couple of times so that would probably be the reason plus my cutting with the paths tool. I'm still getting used to doing it that way.
Thank you, yeah I didn't really have any tutorials for the eyes and what not so I just kinda free-styled it but I'll be sure to look at those! xD
Aha the backgrounds I just kinda threw together though I probably could to a better blending and might go back alter to fix that x3.
