(( Help - Not Critique)) Hey guys - I keep running into a problem with text on transparency. I've accomplished this before without flaw, however, I can't seen to recreate the effect I want with the saving technique I'm using. >.> i55.tinypic.com/2i6gyt1.pngThe text on the outside of the image has awful blotchy white around it instead of everything staying trans. Could this have something to do with the drop shadow around the text? I've been saving images as a .png - Should I save it as a .gif? Also, although both problems are difficult to see on the white BG in the link, there is an ever so slight whiteness that lines the curved border of the image. Here - I'll place it on a testing site so you can see what I mean: plaguedogstest.proboards.com/index.cgi?

Hm... I've had something similar to that happen to me. I'm not exactly sure why. No, .png is best. I'm sorry if this doesn't help you, but maybe you could try re-saving it and uploading it again? I solved mine by putting a dark solid colour behind the image in PS, just to check if the text was okay transparent, then removing the colour and saving it.
Again, I'm sorry if this doesn't work for you.

Perhaps you should try taking the text out, and reput it in? If that doesn't work, then maybe it's the host you upload your pics on. I know Tinypic has been messing with photos lately. PErhaps you should try photobucket or another carrier?

I've recently tried to upload another image that was nothing but text on a transparent BG and uploaded it to Photobucket with the same... negative result. I know there isn't a way I'm saving it wrong so the only thing I can figure is that PB (tinypic is associated with PB) is screwing with it. Any other suggestions for places to upload photos freely?

That is very confusing. Maybe you could try deviantart, though it isn't the best place for it? I don't have this sort of problem, so it makes me wonder if it's your image and not the uploader/proboard's fault.
As I said before, try redoing the text and see if that helps. If not, then I can't help anymore. =\ I know you're saving it in the right format, but just to be sure, it's in PNG format, right?

Yeppers. PNG it is. ^.^
It could be simply my photoshop although I've never heard of this kind of problem before. I guess I could try to reinstall it over my vacation and see if that helps. Although... then I lose all my brushes ftl.
